Why you keep having the same argument

Most repeated arguments aren't about the dishes. Here's what is often underneath.

It's rarely about the topic

When the same fight returns, the subject is usually a doorway to something else: feeling unseen, unsupported, or alone in the relationship.

Noticing the pattern is the first step. It isn't a sign that something is broken.

Try naming the feeling, not the fault

“I felt left out” lands differently from “You never include me.” It invites a response instead of a defence.

When to get support

If you keep ending up in the same place, a counsellor can help you both slow down and hear what's actually being said.

Whenever you're ready, we're here to listen.
